Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gray Collegiate Academy). They blew past the Airport Eagles 97-31 on Thursday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 53-16.

Gray Collegiate Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamont (Lj) Britt out in front who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Starkey, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Gray Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Airport, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Gray Collegiate Academy will head out to challenge South Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Airport, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Augusta at 7:30 p.m.
