Softball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette lost against Sam Houston on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to the Broncos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Sam Houston, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lafayette Lions duke it out with Starks Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Starks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lafayette surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sam Houston, they will square off against Acadiana at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
