Softball Game Preview: Quitman Panthers vs. Enterprise Bulldogs

Quitman hasn't had much luck against Enterprise recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Quitman has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Quitman faced off against Northeast Jones on Thursday. The Panthers lost 19-0 to the Tigers. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Enterprise came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let Mize get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Enterprise might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Enterprise pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Quitman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Quitman suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Enterprise when the teams last played back in February. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
