Soccer Game Preview: East Wake Academy vs. Research Triangle

East Wake Academy hasn't had much luck against Research Triangle recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raptors at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Research Triangle better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if East Wake Academy's game on Monday is any indication, that's when East Wake Academy really gets things going. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Roxboro Community. The victory continues a trend for East Wake Academy in their matchups with Roxboro Community: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Research Triangle's matchup on Monday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They never let Triangle Math & Science get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Landon Bajnath and Cameron Greenbaum scored all three of Research Triangle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Research Triangle's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-3. As for East Wake Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
