Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin County). They took down the Shelby County Rockets 68-53 on Tuesday. Given the Flyers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Rockets are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Shelby County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Franklin County will challenge Grant County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grant County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Franklin County likes a good challenge. As for Shelby County, they will face off against Woodford County at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
