Beaver Local lost to West Branch back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Beavers made off with a 56-55 victory over the Warriors. Given the Beavers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Warriors are ranked 343rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beaver Local to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Rettos, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 13 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Hill, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds.

Beaver Local's record now sits at 8-1. As for West Branch, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Beaver Local has already played their next contest, a 67-58 defeat against Carrollton on the 3rd. As for West Branch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-47 loss against Canfield on the 3rd.
