Baseball Recap: McKinley Panthers vs. Plaquemine Green Devils
McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Plaquemine Green Devils. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 19-0 to the Green Devils when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Plaquemine, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as McKinley Panthers challenge East Feliciana Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McKinley has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Plaquemine, they will venture away from home to face off against Brusly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brusly's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Plaquemine's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
