While Millard didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Milford Tigers on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Olivia Bassett paced Millard's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bassett got some help from Eden Rasmussen and her 20 assists. Rasmussen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Millard's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Millard and Milford will both be playing Deseret Peak the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
