Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Academy Blues vs. Lakeridge Pacers

The St. Mary's Academy Blues will square off against the Lakeridge Pacers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's Academy has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 21.

Last Tuesday, St. Mary's Academy had to suffer through a 79-20 loss at the hands of Oregon City. While losing is never fun, the Blues can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Pioneers are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, Lakeridge played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 88-16 loss at the hands of West Linn. The game marked the Pacers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeridge and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for St. Mary's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

St. Mary's Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lakeridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory.
