Basketball Game Preview: Ironwood Eagles vs. Chaparral Firebirds

The Ironwood Eagles will challenge the Chaparral Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ironwood is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Ironwood is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Horizon: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Ironwood blew Horizon out of the water with an 80-33 final score. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Chaparral entered their game against Desert Mountain on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Chaparral came up short against Desert Mountain, falling 61-41. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ironwood's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.1 points. As for Chaparral, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.
