Baseball Recap: River Dell Comes Up Short

River Dell was the 1-0 winner over Indian Hills when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Hawks fell just short of the Braves by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

River Dell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Silverstein, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

River Dell's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Indian Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12-1 record this season.

River Dell will head out to square off against Bergenfield at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Hills, they will host Wayne Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
