Basketball Game Preview: Chelsea Dragons vs. Caney Valley Trojans

The Chelsea Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Caney Valley Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chelsea is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

Last Saturday, Chelsea earned a 33-25 victory over Newkirk. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Tigers are ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Caney Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Barnsdall on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 37-33 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Chelsea pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Caney Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Chelsea strolled past Caney Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 48-33. Will Chelsea repeat their success, or does Caney Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
