Basketball Recap: Western Reserve Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

With a playoff win on the line, Western Reserve rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 48-35 win over the Cornerstone Christian Patriots. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 52-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Western Reserve is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 19-6.

Coming up, Western Reserve will face off against Mogadore at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mogadore will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Western Reserve surely won't give up without a fight. Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
