Baseball Game Preview: Northside Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Midland Valley Mustangs

The Northside Christian Academy Crusaders will take on the Midland Valley Mustangs in a tournament on Saturday.

Northside Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Bamberg-Ehrhardt as Northside Christian Academy made off with a 15-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Luke Bohnsack was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bohnsack was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Northside Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Will Spotts, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Grayson Crim was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Midland Valley's season-opener on Friday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and Batesburg-Leesville finished up their contest with a 2-2 tie. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
