            Softball Recap: Edsel Ford Thunderbirds vs. Woodhaven Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Edsel Ford had lost five straight on the road, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-8 to make it six. They lost  16-1 to the Woodhaven Warriors. The Thunderbirds were not able to make up for their  loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
As for Woodhaven, the  victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.1 runs over those games.
For Woodhaven's part,  Gracie Dixon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  hit and  allowed only  one  earned run over four innings pitched. Dixon has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news, Woodhaven got a  massive  performance out of  Ariel Krueger, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI. That's the most  doubles  Krueger has posted  over her last 11  matchups. Another player making a difference was  Brooklynn Bartos, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Edsel Ford will  square off against  rival Trenton  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Woodhaven is set to  take on  their familiar foe Roosevelt  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
