Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jordan Page and Christian Outlaw Lead Broughton to Victory

Broughton lost to Cardinal Gibbons last Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Broughton Capitals enjoyed a cozy 63-44 victory over the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Capitals.

Leading Broughton to victory were Christian Outlaw and Jordan Page. Outlaw went 7 for 8 en route to 16 points and eight boards, while Page went 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points. Page's evening made it 20 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Austin Youngs was another key player, putting up nine points.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damon Phillips, who posted nine points and five assists. Graham Bostian also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Broughton's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Broughton will head out to face off against Sanderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Broughton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will welcome Leesville Road at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Gibbons also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 63.5 points per game.
