Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Riverdale finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 33-20 to the Van Buren Black Knights. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Black Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Van Buren, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Coming up, Riverdale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Upper Sandusky at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Van Buren, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Kenton at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
