It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coeur d'Alene had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lake City Timberwolves 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Timberwolves on Saturday, they had to take a 10-1 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Helms, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Blake Foulk, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Coeur d'Alene hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matchups.

Coeur d'Alene's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Lake City, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
