Basketball Game Preview: River View Black Bears vs. Philo Electrics

The River View Black Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Philo Electrics at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

River View is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against John Glenn on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. River View was dealt a 78-40 loss at the hands of John Glenn. The defeat continues a trend for the Black Bears in their matchups with the Little Muskies: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Philo fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Morgan on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the Raiders. The Electrics have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Philo's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for River View, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

River View ended up a good deal behind Philo in their previous matchup back in February, losing 62-43. Thankfully for River View, Drew Wright (who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
