Rutherford skates past Deltona with ease

Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Rutherford Rams proved on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Deltona 62-16 on the road. With Rutherford ahead 43-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Rutherford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shakirah Edwards out in front who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braniya Baker, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Rutherford and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Deltona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rutherford will face off against Mainland at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Deltona won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Father Lopez at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
