Softball Recap: Yankton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Spearfish on Saturday, Yankton came back down to earth. The Bucks/Gazelles came up short against the Sturgis Brown Scoopers on Saturday, falling 10-3. The Bucks/Gazelles haven't had much luck with the Scoopers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Yankton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sturgis Brown, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Coming up, Yankton will venture away from home to challenge Beresford at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sturgis Brown, they will welcome Stevens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Scoopers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
