Basketball Recap: Fenwick Takes a Loss

Fenwick has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack. The Friars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Fenwick's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fenwick will venture away from home to challenge DePaul College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DePaul College Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Fenwick likes a good challenge. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they will head out to square off against Leo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
