Recap: Winter Haven Blue Devils vs. Somerset Prep

On Friday, the Winter Haven Blue Devils faced Somerset Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Winter Haven fell just short of Somerset Prep by a score of 56-53. Winter Haven's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Winter Haven's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Serenity Hardy, who scored 24 points along with two steals. Hardy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Victoria Hall was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight blocks and six rebounds.
