Basketball Recap: Granger Christian Takes a Loss

Granger Christian lost against Trinity Greenlawn back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Granger Christian Knights took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Greenlawn Titans. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity Greenlawn got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ian Abbott out in front who posted 15 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Abbott has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Heintzelman, who had seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Granger Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Trinity Greenlawn, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Granger Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Clinton Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Granger Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trinity Greenlawn, they will face off against Argos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Greenlawn is facing Argos at the right time seeing as Argos is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
