Baseball Recap: Central Bucks East Starts off Right with Win over Perkiomen School

Central Bucks East gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Perkiomen School Panthers by a score of 4-1.

Jason Abert looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Sean Hill Jr and Anthony Niro did most of the damage at the plate: Hill Jr went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double, while Niro went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Niro has posted since back in March of 2024.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Bucks East is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge William Penn Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up.
