Basketball Game Preview: Bloomer Blackhawks vs. Colfax Vikings

The Bloomer Blackhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Colfax Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bloomer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Bloomer took a 20-point defeat the last time they faced off against Fall Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blackhawks skirted past the Crickets 56-53.

Meanwhile, Colfax waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 62-48 victory over the Cardinals. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Cardinals are ranked 281st).

Bloomer better focus on containing Sierra Shipman and Jordyn Bowe as the pair were huge in Colfax's win. Shipman went 6-for-14 to rack up 21 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Bowe almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. The contest was Bowe's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Sikora, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

The win got Bloomer back to even at 4-4. As for Colfax, their record now sits at 5-1.

Bloomer couldn't quite finish off Colfax in their previous matchup back in January and fell 59-57. Can the Blackhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
