Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the DuPont Manual Crimsons, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Central of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for DuPont Manual, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Central will head out to take on Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DuPont Manual, they will take on Francis Parker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DuPont Manual will be up against Francis Parker's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.6 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
