Basketball Recap: Gooding Victorious

If Filer wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Gooding, they should've done a better job of containing Olivia Rogers. The Gooding Senators came out on top against the Filer Wildcats by a score of 55-48 on Wednesday thanks to Rogers, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. She also grabbed three steals, which is notable because Gooding is 2-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 10-11 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Camryn Rycraft, who posted eight points in addition to eight assists and seven rebounds. Those eight assists gave her a new career-high.

The win got Gooding back to even at 12-12. As for Filer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
