Recap: Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers vs. Spencerville Adventist Academy Hornets

In what's become a running theme this season, the Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Spencerville Adventist Academy 63-37. The win was nothing new for Chisholm Trail Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chisholm Trail Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Castro, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Castro pulled down eight or more rebounds. Tony Planells was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Chisholm Trail Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Spencerville Adventist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Chisholm Trail Academy and San Gabriel Academy will face off at 10:30 a.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. San Gabriel Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chisholm Trail Academy in their respective states (San Gabriel Academy is ranked 111th in California, while Chisholm Trail Academy is ranked 818th in Texas). Spencerville Adventist Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Newman International Academy at 10:30 a.m. on January 25th. Newman International Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Spencerville Adventist Academy likes a good challenge.
