Game recap: Nease High School Football Team bests Matanzas

PONTE VEDRA, Fla. - Nease (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) defeated Matanzas (Palm Coast, Fla.) 41-28.

After taking the lead on a Justin Lee touchdown pass to Justin Johnson in the second quarter, the Panthers led 28-7 at the half.

Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 21 entering the fourth.

The loss comes after Matanzas defeated Pine Ridge 62-21 last week. The victory was a step in the right direction for Nease, which was coming off a 35-21 defeat at the hands of Menendez in its previous game. The victory snapped Nease's three-game losing streak.
