Baseball Recap: Christian Academy of Louisiana Takes a Loss

Christian Academy of Louisiana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-3 to the Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics Storm.

Holden Robertson put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Billy Gatlin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Christian Academy of Louisiana's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Christian Academy of Louisiana will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-6 defeat against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on the 18th.
