Baseball Recap: Buckhorn Takes a Loss

Buckhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 15-0 to the Perry County Central Commodores. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Commodores this season, with their most recent defeat being a 22-1 loss on Friday.

Buckhorn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Mayhew, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Buckhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Perry County Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-12.

Looking ahead, Buckhorn will head out on the road to square off against Robertson County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats are facing the Black Devils at the right time seeing as the Black Devils are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Perry County Central, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against George Rogers Clark at 2:45 p.m.
