Baseball Recap: Dutchtown Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dutchtown walked away with it. They beat the Sulphur Golden Tornados on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. The Griffins haven't had any issues with the Golden Tornados recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Dutchtown's win bumped their record up to 27-15. As for Sulphur, they dropped their record down to 25-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Dutchtown will challenge Barbe on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Griffins 4, the Bucs 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Sulphur does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
