Softball Recap: Russell Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sentinel on Saturday, Russell came back down to earth. The Rustlers came up short against the Gallatin Raptors on Tuesday, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 last Tuesday.

Russell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Olson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Russell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Gallatin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Russell and Gallatin will both be playing Great Falls the next time they take the field. The Raptors will head out to face the Bison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rustlers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
