Basketball Recap: Schaumburg Victorious

Schaumburg's tournament run continued when they took on Rockford Auburn on Monday. The Schaumburg Saxons managed a 52-47 victory over the Rockford Auburn Knights.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaidan Dozie, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. Those 18 points gave Dozie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Danforth, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Schaumburg's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Rockford Auburn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Schaumburg will square off against Downers Grove South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockford Auburn, they will take on Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th.
