Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emerald Ridge). Everything went their way against the Yelm Tornados on Friday as they made off with a 9-2 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Emerald Ridge's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Yelm, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emerald Ridge will challenge Curtis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Yelm, they will face off against Bethel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
