Basketball Recap: Lake Orion Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rochester, Lake Orion was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They strolled past the Groves Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Dragons considering their 20-point performance the match before.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harlem Simpson, who posted 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Simpson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jacey Roy, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Lake Orion is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Groves, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Orion will welcome Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Groves, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. Rochester will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Groves surely won't give up without a fight.
