Baseball Recap: Sierra Canyon Comes Up Short

Sierra Canyon fell victim to Paraclete and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Spirits by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Trailblazers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sierra Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Paraclete, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Sierra Canyon and Paraclete should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Trailblazers will take on Kennedy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (47 vs. 842). Meanwhile, Paraclete (ranked 240th) will meet Windward (ranked 588th) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Spirits' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Wildcats have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
