As for Western Harnett, their record is now 11-9. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Western Harnett's side, Morgan McAuley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. McAuley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Grace Bancroft was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bella Cameron also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
As of now, neither Overhills nor Western Harnett have any future games scheduled.
