Baseball Recap: Warner Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Warner's offense. They came up short against the Oktaha Tigers on Monday, falling 12-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Warner saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Thompson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Warner's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Oktaha, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

Warner and Oktaha could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Eagles will square off against Dewar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (299 vs. 6). Meanwhile, Oktaha (ranked 50th) will meet Sallisaw (ranked third) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
