After a string of 11 wins, Oswego East's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minooka Indians. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 60-52.

Minooka's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madelyn Kiper led the charge by going 10 of 18 en route to 25 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Naya Carter, who posted 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Oswego East's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Minooka, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10.

Oswego East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-58 defeat against Waubonsie Valley on the 1st. As for Minooka, they will challenge Yorkville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Minooka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
