Recap: Franklin Flyers vs. Harvard Cardinals
The Franklin Flyers had to endure a three-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 48-36 win over Harvard on Thursday. The win was just what Franklin needed coming off of a 71-20 loss in their prior match.
Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gregory Boettcher, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eldon Haack, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
The victory got Franklin back to even at 1-1. As for Harvard, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2.
Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lawrence-Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Harvard, they will head out on the road to face off against Axtell at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Axtell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
