The Eureka Loggers will take on the Fortuna Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On March 8th, Eureka and Ukiah finished up their match with a 15-15 tie.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fortuna). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Fort Bragg on Monday. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

Myra Hayes made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Fortuna got a massive performance out of Sephora Machado, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Machado a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mariah Bravo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Fortuna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Bragg only posted an OBP of .400.

The victory made it two in a row for Fortuna and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. Eureka's draw gives them a new season record of 0-1-1.
