Basketball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was the 49-39 winner over Tippecanoe when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Franklin Wildcats were dealt a 62-27 loss at the hands of the Tippecanoe Red Devils on Friday. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin and nudges their season record down to 4-17. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 19-3 Bellbrook (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 82.3% over those games). As for Tippecanoe, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tippecanoe, they will take on Bellbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Tippecanoe likes a good challenge.
