Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. 2026 welcomed Plainview with a 5-0 loss courtesy of Burkburnett. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Plainview of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Burkburnett, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

As for Burkburnett, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Midland Legacy at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
