Baseball Recap: Lafayette County Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Lafayette County and Carrollton, and Carrollton kept the tradition alive. The Huskers came up short against the Trojans on Wednesday, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-2 defeat back in April.

Lafayette County dropped their record down to 12-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Carrollton, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.

Lafayette County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carrollton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Lawson on the 22nd.
