Basketball Game Preview: King's Christian Knights vs. Atlantic Christian Cougars

King's Christian hasn't had much luck against Atlantic Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The King's Christian Knights will head out to challenge the Atlantic Christian Cougars. King's Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, it was close, but King's Christian sidestepped The Pilgrim Academy for a 40-37 win. The 40-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

King's Christian found their leader in sophomore Cam Homer, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Matt Johnson, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Atlantic Christian came up short against Doane Academy on Friday and fell 67-58. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King's Christian's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Atlantic Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

King's Christian came up short against Atlantic Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 60-53. Can King's Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
