Tipton has gone a perfect 6-0 against Tri-Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Blue Devils will challenge the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Tipton's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matches, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tipton lost 14-1 to Logansport on Wednesday.

Tipton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Bitner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Tri-Central hadn't done well against Maconaquah recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Braves.

Layla Baldwin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Baldwin was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Tri-Central let Emily Maruszewski and Layla Keith run wild. Maruszewski went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Keith scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Mackey, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

The win got Tri-Central back to even at 1-1. As for Tipton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Tipton came out on top in a nail-biter against Tri-Central in their previous meeting last Tuesday, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
