Lafayette Jefferson had won five straight road games and Alonzo Clawson-Smith did his part to make it six on Thursday. The Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos blew past the McCutcheon Mavericks 68-46 thanks in part to Clawson-Smith, who went 10 of 16 en route to 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The contest was his 14th in a row with at least 15 points.

Treshawn Baker was another key player, going 5 for 8 to rack up 14 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, McCutcheon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brody Baker earned 16 points. Baker has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Souligne, who put up nine points.

Lafayette Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for McCutcheon, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 9-6.

Lafayette Jefferson has already played their next game, a 53-35 victory against West Lafayette on the 8th. As for McCutcheon, they will face off against Crawfordsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McCutcheon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.9 points per game this season.
