Baseball Recap: Compass Academy Comes Up Short

Compass Academy and Idalou squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Compass Academy had to settle for second. They lost 22-7 to the Wildcats.

Compass Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was GAVIN CRANFILL, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another was KASON TRAVIS, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Compass Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Idalou, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-5-1.

While Compass Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
